Half and Full Day Perspective Workshops

Sometimes we all need to be reminded of what we once knew instinctively but have buried or forgotten. We have to toss out — or re-review — assumptions and expectations about ourselves and others that are no longer serving us well. We need to find acceptance. Balance. And live in the now. We do this by turning arrows into flowers — by finding and cultivating a sense of perspective. When we're filled with a sense of comfort, love, and well-being, we can enjoy our journey to the fullest. We can also make the world a more peaceful place.

Let me help you reconnect, reassess, and reinvent.

Half and full day workshops are designed to foster a sense of trust and community; therefore, it's important to meet in surroundings conducive to relaxation, laughter, and growth. Workshop attendance is limited by venue size and pre-registration is encouraged. Food and beverages are included in fee.

Cultivate the Power of Perspective

Realizing where things really stand in our lives is an essential aspect of claiming the serenity and acceptance we all strive for. But it's hard not to become seduced by what we are told to want, or depressed by the absence of what we never had — or worse, what we had but lost.

Youth, beauty, love, money, fame, power, good health — we strive to acquire or hold on to these things, yet they are elusive. And the struggle can be exhausting and empty. It's therefore crucial to learn to put who and what we are today into clear and honest perspective. And it's equally important to continue to develop and cultivate the skills of maintaining perspective if we are to attain any true and lasting happiness.

Together we will:

  • Examine cultural paradoxes
    and pressures
  • Identify areas of disconnect and discontentment
  • View your accomplishments and talents honestly
  • Practice extracting lessons and revelations from your life experiences
  • Learn to appreciate and even welcome change
  • Come to a place of compassion
    for yourself and others

Graceful Aging in an Anti-Aging Era

It's difficult to look in the mirror and see reflected back a person who looks so different from the image we have of ourselves. Inside we feel youthful, but the outside looks different. Yesterday seems and feels so close, but the mirror tells us many years have passed. And more than our face and hair is changing, our bodies are too, and they might be complaining a bit. Add to this the constant bombardment of images of perfection in the media — the focus on youth and beauty that is our culture. Aging has become something many dread. But if we are alive we are aging. The clock cannot be stopped.

Come spend the day learning about the best ways to move gently from one season of life to the next.

Discover how to:

  • Deconstruct the myths of
    youth and beauty
  • Shed unhealthy mental attitudes and physical habits
  • Change your attitude about your body and aging
  • Say thank you to your body
  • Look closely, fearlessly, and joyfully at who you are now
  • Set goals for your future
  • Reconnect to the wisdom of
    the elders

Choosing to walk with illness, disease, and injury rather than fight is the key.

    to every door

    and physical stress
  • Finding the beauty and lesson in
    each moment
  • Showing love and respect to others
    by accepting their help
  • Opening to love and
    compassion
  • Setting useful and attainable
